Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus is reporting that there is a Performance Enhancing Drug (PED) suspension pending in Major League Baseball. Carroll believes that the player is a pitcher and that the player has already started the wheels in motion to get the suspension appealed. Even with the appeal being made, it is being reported that a high ranking baseball executive stated that a suspension will be announced shortly.
Met/Yankee fans may be able to breathe a sigh of relief as Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports is reporting that the pending suspension is not going to be a player from New York. The player's identity has not yet been confirmed, however, rumors have been swirling that the player is a well known National League pitcher.
