And I thought I hated dealing with the Brett Favre saga. The Cavs have been eliminated from the playoffs for less then a week now and I'm already sick of hearing rumors about where Lebron James might end up. It's been going on for over a year, and now that his season is over, it's gotten even worse. In my opinion all of these rumors are utter nonsense. In the end, this will be a basketball and a business decision for Lebron. He'll end up with whoever offers him enough options to make money off the court and whoever is going to put together a good enough team to win a championship.
At this point all of the rumors and supposed recruiting methods are just laughable. I actually heard that people are making recruiting videos with celebrities in them to try and convince Lebron to come to their team. Really people!!??? This isn't some high school kid getting recruited to go to a big college. Lebron doesn't care who appears in some stupid video or what person tells him he should go somewhere. Then there are the rumors that he called Derrick Rose, or Eddy Curry, or whatever other player. Or that members of his group have been seen wearing Bulls apparrel recently. Then there are the rumors that because he is friends with Jay-Z and C.C. Sabathia, he'll definitely come to the Knicks or Nets. Do people actually believe that any of this has anything to do with his decision? Lebron is going to do what's best for him...none of this other crap matters.
I'm sure it will only get worse as summer comes and the July 1st free agent date approaches. As for me, I'm officially checking out on this topic. I refuse to read every article and every ESPN report that claims they know where Lebron might end up. Wake me up when he signs...
