Everyone knows that Jay-Z owns a chain of night clubs, each of which is known as the 40/40 club. David Ortiz, who recently opened a club of his own in his home town of Santo Domingo, named his club the Forty-Forty club and it might cost him. The Red Sox slugger is being sued by Jay-Z and his business partner Juan Perez for infringement as they feel he has named his club after theirs in an effort to cash in on the popularity of the name. The suit, which is for over $5 million in damages, requires that Ortiz forfeit any use of the name including on the club’s website.
